Philippine Airlines also referred to as PAL, is the national and official flag carrier for the Philippines.

Founded in 1941, the airline is headquartered in Pasay City with its central hub at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and secondary hubs at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport and Clark International Airport.

Philippine Airlines is also the parent company for PAL Express which also operates domestic and international services in the Philippines.

From its beginnings as the Philippine Aerial Taxi Company in 1935 to the official founding of Philippine Air Lines in 1941, the now Philippine Airlines has since grown to a fleet size of 55 aircraft – 78 if counting its subsidiaries – operating over 30 destinations in the Philippines and over 40 international destinations across Southeast Asia, East Asia, Oceania, North America, Europe and the Middle East.
